Soon See Beng was appointed to the Board on 14 February 2019 and became Executive Director, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman on 25 January 2021. His responsibilities cover the Group’s strategic direction, planning, management and operations.
His distribution career began in 1988 at the business founded by his father, Soon Tian Ong. In March 1995, he co-founded Swang Chai Chuan Sdn. Bhd. with Soon Lee Shiang and his father, carrying the family business into its next stage.
He has served as SCCSB’s managing director since February 2002 and helped expand the Group into seafood and frozen-food distribution. SCC’s published profile records more than 30 years of experience in the food and beverage distribution industry.

Soon Chiew Ang became an Executive Director on 25 January 2021. He oversees the Group’s operations and sales management, with more than 20 years of food and beverage distribution experience recorded in SCC’s published profile.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing, awarded in June 1999, and an MBA, awarded in July 2001, from the University of Hertfordshire. Before joining SCC in 2000, he gained early experience as a management trainee at Kawaguchi Manufacturing.
His work has included strategic business growth and key-account management. He also co-founded SCCM and SCC Logistics with his siblings, supporting the development of the Group’s commercial and delivery capabilities.

Lee Teck Hoe brings more than 40 years of finance experience across consumer goods, retail, manufacturing and services in the Asia-Pacific region. His expertise includes financial leadership, mergers and acquisitions, business integration and private equity.
Previous appointments include Chief Financial Officer of TF Value-Mart in Malaysia, Regional Finance Director at Dairy Farm International in Malaysia, and Finance Director at Heinz ABC Indonesia. His experience also covers cross-border operations, balance-sheet restructuring and strategic growth.
He graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1981 and became a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand in 2014.

Datuk Tan Teow Choon joined the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director in July 2022. He chairs the Nomination Committee and is a member of the Audit and Remuneration Committees.
He earned a marketing diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing in 1981 and a Master of Science in Business Administration from Boston University in 1984. His career includes a general management role at Fonterra Brands Malaysia and service as Managing Director of Yeo Hiap Seng Malaysia from 2000 to 2003.
His published experience includes a directorship at Viva Global from 2007 and the Chief Executive Officer role at RB Biotech between 2009 and 2015. He has also contributed through advisory roles with Malaysian business chambers and as treasurer of the United Nations Association of Malaysia.

Saw Chooi Lee brings extensive consumer-goods leadership experience, including more than 15 years in the dairy industry. She began her marketing career through Unilever’s management training programme.
She joined Dutch Lady Malaysia as Commercial Director in 2003, became General Manager of FrieslandCampina Hong Kong from 2008 to 2010, and led its mainland China business from 2011 to 2014. She subsequently served as Managing Director of Dutch Lady Malaysia and Singapore from 2015 to 2017.
She earned undergraduate and MBA qualifications at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in 1986 and 1987. SCC’s profile also highlights her mentoring work with Lead-Women Malaysia and her redesignation as Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of Dutch Lady Milk Industries Berhad in January 2020.
